ISLAMABAD- Users in Pakistan won't be able to access Google Play Store services starting in December 2022 since the State Bank of Pakistan terminated the direct carrier billing (DCB) system.

The letter's authors argued that it was imperative to avoid at all costs the disruption of such digital services due to non-payments because it would cause social issues in Pakistan in the digital age.


It further cautioned that top digital firms like Google, Amazon, Meta, and others are being impacted by non-payment and are most likely to stop offering their services, warning that this will affect customers' ability to get the services they require from platforms.
